| The Sierra Oxmolon is a range of mountains directly to the west of Aquismon, Mexico. This area, and the ranges of mountains surrounding it are one of the most famous caving regions in North America, and cavers have been visiting regularly since the discovery of Sotano de las Golandrinas in the early 1960's. Proyecto Oxmolon is the continuing effort to discover, explore and inventory the various caves of the area.
